Our trainer, Kimberly Carnevale, will customize an effective, innovative, and affordable, in-home or group (South Jersey) training program for your dog. (UPDATE: Our dog training program is currently on a very limited basis---inquire for more details/availability).

As a little girl, Kimberly wanted to save every homeless animal, rescue every dog in need, and try to "fix" problems in dogs/horses she met throughout her childhood.  She knew that in order to be really effective in her efforts, she would have to learn all she could about how animals learned, communicated, and interacted in a natural state.   She was passionate about her mission and worked hard to understand the broken and needy animals she sought out to save.

Kimberly gained her education through internships with veterinarians, farriers, Sheriff's K-9 Unit, and training clinics. She voluteered at rescue groups and dog kennels.  Serious about becoming the best partner she could be, Kimberly devoured any and all information she could about the animals she worked with.  She learned the great value of patience and positive reinforcement and utilizing natural correction techniques.   To further impact her influence on the animals she worked with, Kimberly studied learning theory, classical and operant conditioning in  both herd and pack situations for 20 + years, and implemented these skills when she opened up her own 54- acre training facility where she trained show horses and rehabilitated "problem" horses and dogs using her natural behavior modification and resistance-free training techniques.

Ms. Carnevale  learned the utmost importance of "listening" to the animals she was working with, studying their behaviors and learning to communicate with them through their own wordless, yet completely audible and sophisticated language that she had carefully studied for so many years. Because of this talent, she was often sought out to rehabilitate animals that were deemed "dangerous and un-trainable" or "red zone".  Always having faith in the animals and her abilities to heal them, she never thought of any animal not worthy of a chance to be understood.  Years of practiced patience and study paid off  for countless animals who had been unfairly labled and drastically misunderstood.  These formally rejected animals went onto become well-behaved canine companions and money-earning show horses.

Kimberly's insight and talents were sought out by numerous owners, shelters, rescues, police K-9 units and other professional trainers throughout the years.  Kimberly's clients bestowed her with the nickname, "The East Coast Dog Whisperer,"  and today, her trademarked Canine Ability MethodTM continues to prove its' lasting effectiveness through it's many success stories.

"What makes the techniques so effective," says Carnevale, "is for years  I have carefully studied the scientific principals of canine behavior.  I honor the dogs I spend time with by literally treating them like a dog---communicating with them their their own primal and wordless language, not forcing them to try to learn mine.

In every instance of behavior and training issues I am called in to assist with, the catalyst of the undesired behavior is inevitably, miscommunication and confusion between the owner and the dog.    Confusion in the dogs' mind, confusion from the owner in what the dog is actually trying to tell them (and vice versa)--confusion that can get in the way of a successful relationship.  What most owners fail to recognize is that we are always training our dogs---learning how to effectively communicate with our canine friends determines whether we train good traits or bad.

Using the dog's own highly developed and very intricate language, we create a system that enables the dog to better understand what is being asked of him/her.  The result of this is that owner and dog are able to enjoy a lasting, harmonious relationship based on respect, trust and understanding.  By using natural behavior modification methods in a program I have developed called Canine AbilityTM, we get proven, positive, and lasting results.

What you end up with is a dog that is a pleasure to be around, is consistent in his/her training, and is a willing and able participant in training.  All too often we see dogs being forced, threatened, or coerced into doing a particular task.  While this may work in the beginning, a dog will lose its luster, it's joy in working and willingness to learn.  You will not have a faithful friend who wants to be with you in the end; instead you will have a broken spirit that feels obligated to be with you."

Carnevale's innate ability to be able to relate to canines AND horses has made her training a huge success.  Her training methods are derived from years of careful study of herd and pack natural behavior, and she utilizes horse training techniques in her Canine AbilityTM method that have proven to be highly successful regardless of an animal's behavior, or past training experience.  Now your dog can learn to become a well-behaved family pet, overcome bad habits, and even learn some tricks that will amaze your friends and family!

Because you asked for it, we're here to help you and your dog learn to work well together!

In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semi human.  The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog.  ~Edward Hoagland

"The way my program works is that I come in to evaluate your situation and explain the causes, and source of your dog's unwanted behaviors.  From there, we'll implement a behavior modification strategy and help you become comfortable with the techniques on the first visit (usually lasts about two to two and a half hours).  After that, I come weekly (those sessions usually last an hour to an hour and a half) to check progress and implement the next steps in training.

How long you'll require my services is completely up to you!  It will depend upon how difficult a situation you currently have, how much time you spend in between my visits working with my techniques, and how far  you want to take your dog's training.

My goal is to teach you the proper techniques to gain (and keep) control of your dog and to get you as independent in your training as soon as possible.  What it comes down to is the more you practice the tips I give you, the less you'll pay me. ;-)

Please keep in mind that training is hard work!  There's no getting around doing the work involved in behavior modification. You'll get out of it exactly what you put into it... and training is not for a few weeks, but for the lifetime of your dog.  Your entire family needs to be on board with the training, or your dogs will know there is a division of control and will pick up on it.  This is why it is critical for all members of the family to be present on the first visit.

I re-structure your  relationship with your dog by tapping into your dog's innate pack drive.  We utilize natural canine communication to redirect the dog's unwanted behavior and replace the bad behavior with things that will create good behavior. This type of conditioning "gets to the root" of all issues (not just masking them), and creates a more lasting and effective result.

Contact me for fee schedules and appointment times.  The number of sessions you are going to require is directly related to how hard you work between sessions.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.  I look forward to solving your dog's behavioral issues and meeting you in person soon!
